Make it Matter is a practical, thought-provoking materials workshop designed for people working across the sign, print and retail display industries.

Materials influence far more than how a finished project looks. The choices you make can affect performance, cost, creativity, production, installation and sustainability.

Led by Steve Lister, the workshop brings materials, design, commercial thinking and sustainability together using real products, material samples, case studies and interactive group challenges. It is about questioning familiar choices, exploring different possibilities and building the confidence to choose the right material for the right application.

Having attended every previous Make It Happen course a few years ago, I found huge value in returning for the 'On the Frontline' day with Sam and Libby. The session didn't disappoint. Sam is a master at engaging the whole room, effortlessly bridging the gap between beginners to the sign industry (3 weeks in) and oldies like me (nearly 30 years). The day was jam packed with ideas and knowledge to help continue progressing in the industry. I highly recommend attending, whether its for the first time or returning for a refresher.... Oh and there's sweats/chocolate provided through out the day too!!

I attended the Signage Bootcamp and was thoroughly impressed with how well organised and informative it was. Having worked in the industry for over 20yrs I was somewhat sceptical about whether I would learn anything new, however I would thoroughly recommend to anyone, no matter their experience, to attend this course. Thanks Sam, I really enjoyed the day

Workshop offered an in-depth intro into signage and Sam even managed to to tailor the content for the business interest of me and the other attendees, which I found incredibly useful. The session was both informative and engaging, providing a comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in Signage production. Experiencing the manufacturing procedures firsthand and getting some hands-on experience was incredibly beneficial. Sam's expertise and engaging delivery made the seminar clear and professional. Thanks Sam!
